Inspired by the life and legacy of Jon Diaz, the center is a hub of transformative opportunities, bringing diverse community partners together to deliver critical programs and resources focused on empowering youth and families in the Village of Nedrow and surrounding areas.

Founders Message
Dear neighbor,For as long as I can remember, I've dreamt of bringing a community center to my hometown of Nedrow, NY. With your help and support, it’s time to make that dream a reality.
Growing up, I had to travel across the Syracuse area to access the athletics programs that paved my way to a career in the National Football League. With the support of community partners and leaders like you, JDCC is committed to ensuring that young people have access to programs and opportunities without having to leave our community.
We’re building a $5 million, state-of-the-art recreation facility named in honor of my late friend, Jon Diaz. The Center is focused on improving community health and wellbeing through opportunities to connect, collaborate, and move together. I invite you to contribute to this vision however you can.

What We Do
Rooted in addressing the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' social determinants of health and recommendations included in the Onondaga County Health Assessment and Improvement Plan, JDCC will provide a collaborative space for economic opportunity, coordinated social services, health and wellness programming, and enrichment activities for people of all ages.
